Propanganda Techniques

The first commercial I saw was a Stanley Steamers commercial. They use salience with the catchy phrase "Stanley Steamers makes carpet cleaner", the phrase is easily stuck in your head. It also uses bandwagon, showing real customers use Stanley Steamers, they make Stanley Steamers sound like such an amazing service that you should try them too.
The second commercial I saw was a commercial for Straight Talk. They use humor by showing the men whose jobs are mechanics and after using straight talk they got the "richer effect" and carried tiny little girly dogs. It also uses the snob appeal, if you use Straight Talk then you will feel more luxurious. Straight Talk also uses facts and figures. They say by using Straight Talk you will cut your cell phone bill in half.
