Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is rebranding itself to try to lose the negative "baggage" associated with the larger terror organization's identity, according to a senior Arab diplomat who says the Yemeni-based group is trying to attract more foreign fighters to its cause.
2. Lawyer Confirms No Plea Deal for Ex-Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky
The attorney of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky confirmed Wednesday that a plea deal would not be pursued. Amendola stressed that the 67-year-old maintains his innocence and said a plea bargain likely would involve a life sentence, given the severity of the allegations and Sandusky's age.
3. Original Apple Founders' Document Sells for $1.6M
The Apple computer company's founding partnership agreement has sold for $1.6 million in New York.
The Apple document belonged to Ronald Wayne, who founded the Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple Inc. along with Steve Wozniak and the late Steve Jobs but gave up his share. It had been estimated to sell for up to $150,000.
