1. Man accused of poisoning wife's Rice Krispies
Los Angeles County jail records show 43-year-old Fernando Porras of Azusa was being held on $1 million bail Saturday on suspicion of the attempted murder of his 51-year-old wife, Fernanda. He apparently tried to posion his wifes cereal.
2.Ind. mother forces son to wear sign reading "I lie, I steal, I sell drugs"
An Indiana mother forced her son to wear a sign around his neck listing his law-breaking behavior and stand on a Ft. Wayne street corner for two hours earlier this week. The sign read: "I lie, I steal, I sell drugs, I don't follow the law."CBS News reports that Dynesha Lax thought the punishment police had given her son when he broke the law recently wasn't strong enough to get him to stop his behavior, so she took matters into her own hands.
3. Jon Huntsman to exit 2012 race
Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman will announce plans to abandon his 2012 GOP presidential primary campaign, sources tell CBS News, after a third place finish in the New Hampshire primary failed to give his struggling campaign a much-needed boost.After formally announcing his withdrawal, Huntsman is expected to throw his endorsement to current front-runner Mitt Romney, thus ending any rumors he may seek an independent bid for the presidency.
