1. White House Shuffles Role For Top Aide Daley
White House chief of staff Bill Daley is handing over his day to day duties to the man he replaces 10 months ago. It was reported that Daley was being demoted in order Pete Rouse. The Journal suggested Daley will take on more of a big picture, ambassadorial role while Rouse will run West Wing operations.
2. Florida Teen Allegedly Swung Hammerat Teacher, Brought Bag of Weapons to School
A 16 year old student, Diana Barfield's at Evans High School, at been fighting with another student and when the assistant principal tried to break it up she swung the hammer at him. Administrators also found dangerous weapons in her backpack, including a steak knife, razor, box cutter, and an eight and a half inch homemade stabbing device, known as a "shank." She is being chargerd as an adult.
3. Frazier Dies After Fight With Cancer
Heavyweight champion Joe Frazier, died Monday night after a brief battle with liver cancer at the age of 67. He beat Muhammad Ali in the Fight of the Century, battled him nearly to the death in the Thrilla in Manila. Then spent the rest of his life trying to fight his way out of Ali's shadow.
